ANSI/AVA A15.05/1 - 1989 American National Standard for
Automated Vision Systems - Performance Test -
Measurement of Relative Position of Target Features in
Two- Dimensional Space Approved December 1,
1988. 24 Pages. US$ 18.00.
This standard defines a standard measurement test that
will serve as a reference in the specification and
evaluation of machine vision systems. The test is designed
to aid manufacturers and users in understanding and
communicating expected and actual performance of vision
systems.
BSR/A15.08/1 - 199X Standard Camera Data Sheet has
progressed beyond the initial draft stage thanks to SC
Member Bob Gazerro, who has taken over the Working group
on Electro/Optical Characteristics. At its last meeting,
A15.08 reviewed a complete outline for E/O
characteristics.
The WG on timing was assigned to a representative from
Cohu. This WG coupled with the E/O WG represents the bulk
of the work on the Standard Camera Data Sheet. Another WG
on Format has been assigned to representatives from
E.G.&G. With these WGs now in the hands of active
representatives, A15.08 plans to have a first draft of the
entire Data Sheet Standard by the First Quarter 1996.
AIA Al 5.08/2-1993 Proposed American National Standard
for Automated Vision Components - Cameras -
Standard AIA Connector Specifications (rev. of
ANSI/AIA Al5.08/2-1992) AIA Approval Date 1993-09-10. ANSI
Approval Pending 19 Pages. US$ 22.00.
The purpose of this standard is to specify connectors
suitable for machine vision, scientific, medical and
general purpose image data acquisition in industrial,
laboratory or office environments. The primary function of
these connectors is to transfer all power and analog and
digital signals between the camera and an image
processor.
AIA A15.08/3-1993 Proposed American National Standard
for Automated Vision Components - Cameras - AIA
Monochrome Digital Interface Specification (rev. of
ANSI/AIA Al5.08/3-1992) AIA Approval Date 1993-09-10. ANSI
Approval Pending 12 Pages. US$ 15.00.
This standard specifies digital communication between a
video camera device and an image processor. Video camera
devices include matrix array cameras, variable scan
cameras and linear array cameras. The primary function of
this interface is to transfer a digital image from the
camera device to the image processing system.
BSR/AIA Al5.08/4-199X Proposed American National
Standard for Automated Vision Components - Cameras
- RGB Digital Interface Specification Revision 2
(Committee Review Draft). Approval Target Date 1995-04. 12
Pages. US$ 15.00
This standard specifies digital communication between an
RGB color video camera device and an image processor.
Video camera devices include matrix array cameras,
variable scan cameras and linear array cameras. The
primary function of this interface is to transfer a
digital image from the camera device to the image
processing system.
BSR/AIA Al5.08/7- 199X Proposed American National
Standard for Automated Vision Components - Cameras - AIA
Serial Communication Protocol Specification Revision 2
(Committee Review Draft). Approval Target Date 1995-01. 19
Pages. US$ 22.00
This standard specifies the protocol and command code to
be used in serial communication between a video camera
device and an image processor. The primary function of
this protocol is to transfer control commands from the
image processor to the video camera and for the
acknowledgment of these commands by the camera.
Secondarily, this standard provides for low-speed
communication of camera data to the host processor.
There are two other standards projects under development:
A15.O8/5- Analog Monochrome Interface and
A15.08/6 - Analog RGB Color Interface. Working
Drafts of these standards will be available in late
1995.
The A15.08 committee has been cooperating with the National Association of Photographic Manufacturers IT14 on Electronic Still Video. IT14 members have suggested that the AIA Specification be submitted for consideration as international standards. If the AIA standards are accepted as New Work Items, there is every expectation that the ATA specifications will be approved as ISO standards in 2-3 years
